Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar has established an Anti-Gratification Policy through Rector Regulation No. 012 of 2024 as part of its commitment to clean, transparent, accountable, and integrity-based university governance. This regulation was introduced to prevent corruption, collusion, nepotism, conflicts of interest, and improper benefits within the university environment, while strengthening an institutional culture that rejects gratification and upholds ethical conduct in decision-making and public service.

The policy defines the scope of prohibited and reportable gratification, sets out reporting obligations and whistleblower protection, and mandates periodic education, monitoring, and administrative sanctions. It also provides for the establishment of a Gratification Control Unit (UPG) to receive, review, and follow up reports, while promoting anti-gratification awareness across the university.
