Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar has established a Sustainable Procurement Policy through Rector Regulation No. 039 of 2024 as a strategic framework for planning, purchasing, managing, and evaluating goods and services across the university. The policy promotes efficiency, transparency, accountability, and responsible decision-making, while integrating environmental, social, and governance considerations into procurement practices. It also encourages life-cycle cost thinking, responsible supplier selection, and better management of institutional resources.
Through this policy, the university seeks to reduce unnecessary purchasing, avoid duplication, encourage the reuse and maintenance of existing assets, and strengthen inventory control, reporting, and periodic evaluation. This reflects Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar’s commitment to good governance and sustainable campus development. The full policy can be read at this link.
